Most of our exhibits are aligned to the CAPS curriculum. Displays also highlight the various schools within the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science, study options available at the university, career opportunities and current research projects of staff. You find some example of our current exhibits below.

Have you ever seen Yttrium, or Scandium? This display shows real elements instead of pictures. It also shows interesting examples of the element's application as well as an example of the source rock or mineral.

With our interactive physics displays you can explore and "experience" various physical principles such as Newton's third law, inertia, rotational motion, magnetic and electric induction, and much more.

Incorporated within STEC@UKZN is the Geology Education Museum, the only geological museum in KwaZulu-Natal. On display are spectacular minerals, fossils, meteorites and lots of rocks.

Engage with our hands on solar, wind and hydro fuel cell exhibits. Learn about the difference between renewable and non renewable energy and explore how coal is formed and how to mine it.

Be amazed on how a robot sorts bricks according to their colour. Have a look at one of the first laptop computers and find out just how "big" a 20 MB storage device was in 1981.
